Open Pickleball Policies and Guidelines
- It's recommended to bring your own paddle and ball.
- Please label your paddle.

 - Upon arrival, check-in with Gym Monitor (Y staff, if one is present) during peak times.
 - Capacity is determined by number of courts available. There are 6 spots/court.
 - If a ball rolls onto your court, call it, stop, and replay.
 - Follow all gymnasium rules such as be honest, respectful, kind, and responsible.
 - Good sportsmanship and consideration of other players is expected.
- Please tone down games when playing with lower-level players.
 - Please treat all players with courtesy and kindness.

 - For your safety and the gym floor, please wear non-marking tennis or court shoes.
 - Tap paddles and be friendly at the end of each game.
 - When there is a Y staff present, their decision is final.

- Reservations are required.
 - Reservation windows open in the YMCA360 app 48 hours prior to the timeslot.
- Reserving a spot in YMCA360 guarantees you a spot to play at the start of the time block until 10 minutes into the timeslot.
 - After 10 minutes into open play timeslot, any registered participants not present and checked-in relinquish their spot to a waitlist participant who is present until capacity is hit.
 - If a waitlist participant is present at the start of the timeslot and the capacity has not been hit, the waitlist participant can play the first 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, if all registered participants are present, the waitlist participant will be asked to leave if capacity is hit.
 - Please cancel your reservation if you no longer are able to attend to allow someone on the waitlist to attend.
 - Due to popularity, please only register for 1 timeslot within a 4-hour time period.
- If you would like to be considered to play at a back-to-back timeslot, you can register on the WAITLIST.
 - If space allows, participants are allowed to play back-to-back timeslots until capacity is hit.

- Doubles, 4 players/court. Games are played to 11, win by 2.
 - Rotation:
- If 1-4 people are waiting, the rotation is 2 on, 2 off. Winners stay but split. If you win 2 games in a row, step off the court.
 - If 5-8 people are waiting, the rotation is 4 on, 4 off.

 - Players finishing a game must place their paddles in appropriate bucket (Winners or Runner-Ups) if they wish to play again.
 - Development Court
- The Development Court is for new and improving players to develop and enjoy the game at a slower pace.
 - There will be a separate, 2-6 paddle rotation for this court. Players can opt in or opt out of the court at any time during a session.
 - Players of all skill levels are welcome on the Development Court, but we ask that more advanced players help beginners.
