Youth Sports at the Y

Sports are an excellent way for kids to stay active throughout the year! Our youth sports programs focus on fostering teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness while providing a fun and inclusive environment for kids of all skill levels. Through engaging coaching and a variety of sports, we aim to build confidence and develop essential life skills in young athletes.

We offer sports at both our Framingham Branch and our Outdoor Center in Hopkinton.

Youth Sports: Framingham Branch

Youth Basketball

Learn and practice the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment. Players will develop essential skills like dribbling, shooting, passing, and ball handling while building confidence and preparing for the season.

Ages 5 - 12.

The 10–12 age group will wrap up each session with 20 minutes of gameplay.

Soccer

Off the heels of the exciting World Cup, come learn how to play world's most popular sport, soccer. This outdoor class will focus on introducing and developing dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork skills while teaching kids to enjoy the game! For our younger families, we encourage parents to jump in to learn and play. For our older groups, the goal is to build upon the fundamentals to get ready for games!

Ages 3-10

Running and Cross Country

Young runners will learn proper running form, build endurance through games and age-appropriate activities, and develop confidence while improving their fitness. Whether they're new to running or already love to move, this class encourages a lifelong love of running and an active lifestyle.
